VoltSight is a battery analytics program for Windows, developed and sold by Rafael Fernandes, trading as Comwil (Feldweg 17, 8134 Adliswil, Switzerland), who is the controller of the data described here. In short: your battery data stays on your computer. This page explains the small amount of data that is exchanged when you buy and activate a licence.
Effective: October 10, 2026VoltSight reads the battery information Windows already provides (charge, capacity, cycle count, health, battery reports) and stores its history in a folder on your own computer. This battery data is never sent to us or to anyone else. VoltSight does not collect battery serial numbers, your name, your computer's name, network addresses or your Windows user name.
VoltSight does not send usage analytics. Uninstalling the program leaves your data folder in place so you can keep it; you can delete the folder yourself at any time.
A paid licence is checked with our licensing server at comwil.ch when you activate it, and from time to time afterwards. Each such request contains:
The server answers with a signed certificate that VoltSight stores and checks on your computer. The server records the licence key, the installation IDs and version, when each was first and last seen, and a log of activation events, so it can enforce the limit of three computers per licence and handle refunds. Free use of VoltSight needs no activation and sends nothing to us.
Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe only; neither VoltSight nor Comwil sees or stores them. Stripe tells us that a payment succeeded, the order reference, which edition was bought and the email address you entered, which we store with your licence so we can support you and handle refunds. Stripe handles your data under its own privacy policy.
comwil.ch uses no cookies, advertising or analytics scripts. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes the technical data of each request (such as your IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The servers are located in Germany.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising. The only service providers involved are Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (delivering this site and the licensing service) and our hosting provider in Germany (running the licensing server).
Licence records are kept for as long as the licence exists, because they are needed to verify it. Records we must keep for accounting and tax are kept for the period required by law.
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you may ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of the data we hold about you, subject to our legal retention duties. Write to [email protected]. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new effective date.
